They are deliberately over the top and not meant to be oscar-winning material. And who are you to say this was not a movie? Movies don't have a definition, they can be anything, can be about anyone, and do not have to stick to one formula. Planet Terror was "trash" as you put, but Rodriguez had fun with it and that was the point.

Mar 5, 2010 - One of my favorite movies. It really change the movie landscape for me. It brought relevant to movies I have always loved in the past. Movies are a great form of "escapism." They need to be mindless, unadulterated, and holds no barred. Tired of the formulated movies. Hollywood needs to spend more time out of the box like Tarantino and Rodriguez.
