You surely know that Rai always was a popular artistic form of expression, the cheikhs and cheikhates didn't only sing love and sex, some songs are true patriotic anthems (Zabana, la CAMEL etc.). Nothing wrong with either. I don't think today's lyrics make no sense. What scares me, is that not only do they make sense, but they are widely appreciated. It' is sheer vulgarity AND people love it. That's the scary part in my opinion.
