Nov 10, 2008 - I love the UC men's octet but you cannot really compare them to the King's Singers in this area. If you are looking for more choral music like this arrangement then you should check out Chanticleer most definitely.

Nov 14, 2008 - I've seen both Chanticleer and the King's Singers and I have to say: Chanticleer has noch a quarter of the charisma as the KS. They are just perfect in their music. Though Chanticleer was nice to listen to, too. This does not mean they're worse singers.

Nov 14, 2008 - my father died two weaks ago... I was listening to this piece when he died. I saw his last moments but I didn't see the moment of dying. I was inside when he was taken to the ambulance.. four minutes later my mother came to tell that father left us. :( It's so sad to listen to this now.

Nov 14, 2008 - Dear sellisti89 - at least you have the memory of this beautiful music to associate with your dear father
sellisti89 Says:
Nov 14, 2008 - yes, that's true! I love this music... and I have so many other music pieces that my father loved and listened in his final weeks. mostly I've been listening to them after his death. But I cannot deal these musical experiences with him anymore and that's so unreal feeling. He's living only in my memories...

Nov 18, 2008 - sellisti89, that is really sad. i really hope to have this song played at my funeral. that is so ironic though that you were listening to this while he died. maybe it is a sign. ;-)

Nov 24, 2008 - the chord at 2:49 is absolutely amazing. what a group

Nov 27, 2008 - The brilliant combination of technical excellence and haunting beauty is so great, and such a hallmark of King's Singers. I'm always so impressed with their effortless presentation - I've never heard a King's Singers performance that sounded harsh or strained. Brilliant -- and this is an exquisite example.

Nov 30, 2008 - listen to the one by george tortorelli. he plays it on a bamboo whistle, and it is amazing. it is hypnotic.

Dec 1, 2008 - 3:15 haunting. simply haunting.
saschamuecke Says:
Dec 1, 2008 - What is this chord in 2:46 called? (e.g. like A7 etc.)
UCMsinger Says:
Dec 1, 2008 - who is the bass? I can not tell. I want to say it is the really young one with blond hair. not the tall blond one, but the shorter one to the right.
katemcgizzle25 Says:
Dec 1, 2008 - its not right at 0:29 but its before 0:30. its like right in between those times. the basses sing a note that i absolutely love listening to when my guy friends break into song randomly. its amazing. i love having friends like that. =]
katemcgizzle25 Says:
Dec 1, 2008 - no the singers when facing the audience (us) its tenors baritones and basses. so the short guy with blonde hair is the high tenor and the guy next to him is the second tenor. the two guys in the middle are the baritones. and the guys on the right side are the basses. thats how choir formations or choral group formations work. high parts are generally on the left side when facing an audience. the low parts on the other side. i hope that helps a little bit.
itismeh Says:
Dec 1, 2008 - fucking brilliant
CheshHashim Says:
Dec 2, 2008 - It's actually an E13 chord. Starting with the Bass: E, G#, D, F#, C#, G#

Nov 9, 2008 - I infinitely recommend the UC men's octet! These guys are really good, but I am blown away by the quartet's songs. And most of them are entertaining as well as musical. all a capella
