At Islamabad's Women's College, a concert for peace is taking Place. The students are mainly from privileged, middle-class backgrounds. If you were looking for Muslims that sympathised with the West, this would be the first Place you would go. But even here, amongst the more liberal, "Westernised" Pakistanis, anti-American feeling is riding high. "It's as if one white life was far more important than thousands of black or brown lives," comments one young, educated, middle-class woman. "They feel they can basically come in, use as they please, and then, when they want, they can just walk across the border, go somewhere else, and do exactly as they please there," complains another. The underlying feeling here is clearly that the US only cares or acts when its own people are at risk. If these liberal, cosmopolitan women feel this way about America, how must those who do not benefit from the Western way of life feel? It is like the story of Solomon, if you care more than the baby is yours. And the Americans did in the end care more about Iraqi suffering than Saddam and they did the best thing to destroy his regime. But they stabbed the West in the back and energy insecurity is causing the West to develop alternative energy technology that threatens to sweep away the oil industry in a green tsunami. The series hybrids being released in 2010 is practically the replacement for the internal combustion engine (main oil consumer).

Pakistanis are the most problematic and disliked people in the country. They don't know the meaning of integration, all they are after is somewhere to spread the word of Allah. Dec 1, 2008 - I do not condone any attacks right now made in the name of islam, because there is no islamic state and in islam the individual cannot act according to his logic and must follow guidelines, right now muslims are supposed to be on the defensive in their territories and not attack civilians in other countries, however if a muslim is being attacked then we are supposed to defend them.

Dec 1, 2008 - There is a big difference in wars between nations which are governed by treaties and rules of engagement and so forth. Terrorism which is done and/or supported by nearly all muslims is another matter. This basically is splintering of groups into an area where there are no treaties nor any rules of engagement. So anyone ignoring this difference needs to really examine what actually they are saying. Muslims keep comparing terrorist actions with national wars which is a sign of gross ignorance.

Dec 1, 2008 - For an islamic state to be achieved, governments that are islam based need to fight and win wars. Terrorist groups would only end up creating something that will be changed by assassinations by another terrorist group and that anarchy will never be resolved. Trouble is if there is a muslim nation that is created and if it fights a war it will be annihilated. So either way I think islam itself is in dire straits. The modernisation is far too late. I dont think islam will have a pretty ending.
