Mar 13, 2008 - havent heard it they actually call a lot of dancers "sweet star of egypt" or cairo. actually, "sugar" is an endearing term in arabic and turkish. so it might be from that word, but i do not know for sure as i have not heard that attribute of hers.

Apr 11, 2008 - I agree and disagree. She is extraordinary because she is not typical of the average Egyptian dancer. There is a girl-next-door sweetness about her phrasing and presentation that you don't find elsewhere. She has very long arms and uses them beautifully.
