Feb 27, 2010 - yes quentin is better. everything he has made have influenced (sorry for my english) all other film makers. But he will never do a movie like There will be blood, because is not his style, and he knows it. Thats why he is jealous. Other Paul Thomas Anderson movies that I have seen are Boogie nitghs and Magnolia.

Feb 27, 2010 - @pleyads I saw boogie nights I thought it was long but anyways don't remember Magnolia I guess I will have to look it up. Thank you! ;)

Mar 1, 2010 - Pulp Fiction is his masterpiece. The others are very enjoyable, but masterpieces? I guess it depends on your criteria. Script, direction, acting? I don't think he fills the requirements. His dialogue used to be exciting; now it strikes me as a bit lazy. As a writer he's kind of like Chuck Palahniuk - a one trick pony. A damn good one trick, but it's gotten stale. Inglorius Basterds is a lot of fun. Is that enough? When the alternative is "Hurt Locker" and "Avatar", maybe so.

Mar 1, 2010 - I wish he'd gush less, and talk more of his insights.

Mar 1, 2010 - Tarantino is a hideous troll and stupid
WWAAK Says:
Mar 2, 2010 - I think that QT could learn something from PTA. Think about it, I mean PTA started off with stuff like Magnolia and Boogie Nights and then later did Punch Drunk Love and There Will Be Blood. Unlike QT, he's truly moving forward and trying new things, whereas QT needs to get over his obsession with OTHER movies and try something new. QT is more than capable of making another masterpiece after Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs but he just isn't doing it. I hope he does someday.

Mar 2, 2010 - @WWAAK inglorious basterds
Dr40s Says:
Mar 5, 2010 - It's all a matter of opinion, but my personal favorite movie of his is Inglourious Basterds.

Mar 6, 2010 - I think what happend to tarrinteno is that durring jackie brown, he thought that his movie's were no longer about diolaoge, but about the colors & how he can throw all of his influences into one film. This can be seen especialy on kill bill. I think he's coming back though. I own Inglorious basterds on dvd and absloutly love it. I hope it get's the oscar. (then agian, since it's competing with films like avatar, district 9, and the hurt locker, I doubt that he'll win it.
LOUFORD1 Says:
Mar 7, 2010 - Longview?...... haha.
GodlyMike28x Says:
Mar 10, 2010 - lol tarantino did say "longview" when its "plainview"
sweden92 Says:
Mar 11, 2010 - What's wrong with Hurt Locker?
AcidJack1973 Says:
Mar 12, 2010 - Nothing's wrong with Hurt Locker. It's a well made action movie, though a bit predictable at times. I just thought it was overhyped, primarily because the director is a good looking woman ("I Am Woman"? Jeezus!). Thanks for not defending Avatar. :)
AStopMotionChannel Says:
Mar 12, 2010 - I think it's awesome that P.T. Anderson and Quentin are best friends.
digitalheir Says:
Mar 13, 2010 - Such a fantastic film it is.
mastergradeone Says:
Mar 14, 2010 - can anyone give my an easy explanation of set pieces?
brickbusterful Says:
Mar 14, 2010 - just imagine getting lunch with them or something. He's also friends with Sophia Coppola.
millard27 Says:
Mar 15, 2010 - "The term setpiece is often used more broadly to describe any important dramatic or comedic highpoint in a film or story, particularly those that provide some kind of dramatic payoff, resolution, or transition".
mastergradeone Says:
Mar 15, 2010 - @millard27 thank you for explanation. but in this video Tarantino mention there is only one set piece(oil /fire scene), and Paul was thankful for that is having a lot set pieces bad?
GIANTCADET Says:
Mar 15, 2010 - @mastergradeone an elaborate sequence which sees either a chase, fight, or other action taking place in an original and memorable way. Like the scene in Boogie Nights at the drug dealers house. Or in Pulp Fiction with Marsellus Wallace and Butch in the pawn shop.
NillumNaes Says:
Mar 16, 2010 - okay yoda :)
TheDarkKnight1983 Says:
Mar 17, 2010 - I hate this guy! What a sick fucking freak! Even being the nobody that I am, I wouldn't take a role in a Tarantino film if he gave it to me as a gift.
